A little about me...
Hi, I’m Alessandro (Alex) Simonetta. Woodworking has become more than just a hobby for me — it’s my creative outlet and a way to bring ideas to life. My interest started when I was young, watching my uncle work with tools, and it grew in 2017 when I began building wooden frames for concrete forming. Since then, I’ve been hooked on the process of taking rough wood and shaping it into something lasting and meaningful.
I especially enjoy working with oak and walnut, and I love giving new life to reclaimed wood whenever I can. My style leans rustic, often inspired by practicality and the things I enjoy. Lately, I’ve been dreaming about tackling larger farmhouse-style tables with rough, bold features and using more old-school joinery techniques — the kind of builds that don’t rely on a bunch of screws but instead on traditional craftsmanship.
Most of my projects have been tables and planter boxes, but I’m always open to custom requests as long as I know I can give them the attention and quality they deserve. My goal is always the same: to create something built to last, with a character that feels like it’s already part of your home the moment you bring it in.
For me, woodworking is more than sawdust and tools — it’s a way to express creativity and scratch that itch to build. It’s also something I look forward to sharing more with my two boys, Lincoln and Leo, as they grow. They haven’t spent much time in the workshop yet, but I know they’ll find their own projects to take on one day.
Outside of woodworking, I’m a husband, a proud dad, and a big fan of family time. I enjoy watching my boys play hockey, getting into superhero movies and comics, lifting weights, skating (on ice or rollerblades), and making music. A lot of people are surprised to learn that I’m also a musician — I play guitar and drums, and I sing too.
At the end of the day, my approach to woodworking is simple: keep it straightforward, build it strong, and make it meaningful.

Our Commitment
